LEWISBURG, Pa. - The National Field Hockey Coaches' Association announced today that Bucknell had the fourth-highest team GPA in the nation during the fall semester. The organization cited the top five teams by GPA in the nation in a release today, handing out its 2003 NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award.

The Bison earned a 3.32 GPA during their in-season term, behind only Stanford (3.63), LaSalle (3.47), American (3.37), and even with Yale.

Bucknell went 9-8 on the field this year, making the Patriot League semifinal before falling to Holy Cross, 2-1 in overtime.
