TEGA CAY, S.C. -- Deirdre Moran shot a 3-over par 75, the second-best score in the field, leading the Bucknell women's golf team to a round of 333 and a fifth-place standing in a field of 16 after round one of The Shamrock Intercollegiate at Tega Cay GC.

Bucknell had to wait an extra day to open its spring season after Friday's opening round was washed out. The Bison braved challenging weather conditions as well as anyone on Satuday, and they trail only Elon (323), East Tennessee State (326), Charleston Southern (329) and host Winthrop (330) with 18 holes still to come on Sunday.

Moran's 75 puts her just a shot off the individual lead, behind only ETSU's Lucy Gould.

Also for the Bison, Teri Schlang is tied for ninth place after carding an 80, while Emily Chiodo shot 88, Amy Loughney 90 and Kathryn Batchelor 95.

Round two is scheduled to begin Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
