LEWISBURG, Pa. - Junior Jess Hetrich shot a meet-low 80, and the Bucknell University women's golf team took an early lead at the Bucknell Invitational Saturday afternoon at the Bucknell Golf Club.

Bucknell recorded a team score of 338 over the opening 18 holes, and leads St. Francis (Pa.) by five strokes.

Finishing with the second-lowest round among the Bison was senior Bridget O'Mara, who shot a personal-best 84. O'Mara is currently tied for sixth in the 47-competitor field.

Senior Hilary Mainka and freshman Jaime Hays tied for 10th with an 87 to complete the team scoring.

Freshman Caitlin Sullivan tied her career-best with a 90-stroke effort, and is tied for 15th.

The second and final day of competition will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
