GREENWOOD, S.C. - Bucknell's women's golf team compiled a 334 team score in Tuesday's second round of the PUPS Big South Championship at Greenwood Country Club and dropped one spot to sixth place with 18 holes remaining.

Celine Herbin and Teri Schlang both shot 79 on Tuesday to lead the Bison. Herbin, who also opened with a 79, is in ninth place in the individual standings, 16 shots behind leader Becky Berzonski of UNC Wilmington, who shot a three-under-par 69 in the second round. Schlang rebounded from an opening-round 90 and is tied for 25th place.

Meredith Kalman shot 84 for the second straight day and is in 24th place. Captain Jaime Hays struggled with a 92 in the second round after shooting 80 on Monday.

Coastal Carolina remains in first place after 36 holes, but the Lady Chanticleers lead was reduced from eight strokes to just two. Two-time defending champion UNCW shot a tournament best 306, chopping 20 strokes off its first-round score, to move up from fourth to second place. Coastal Carolina is at 630, followed by UNCW at 632, Birmingham Southern at 643, Charleston Southern at 645, Radford at 661, Bucknell at 667, High Point at 669, Winthrop at 672 and Holy Cross at 783.

Berzonski has a seven-stroke lead over Tiffany Shoppe of Charleston Southern in the individual race.

Bucknell tees off at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the final round.
