Women's Golf Concludes Play at Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Bucknell University women's golf team concluded play in the three-day, 54-hole Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Classic today, finishing in 25th place out of 31 teams with a team score of 1002. The Bison recorded a 339 on the final round after shooting a 326 and a 337 in the first two rounds.

North Carolina-Wilmington won the team title with a 916-stroke effort.

For the second day in a row, junior Jess Hetrich was the Bison's low scorer. After a notching a career-best 78 yesterday, Hetrich turned in an 81 over the final 18 holes to finish 52nd overall with a 242 three-day total. Freshman Jaime Hays was just two strokes back with an 83. Rounding out the Bison's team scoring was junior Molly Campbell (84) and senior Hilary Mainka (91). Junior Amy Jones also competed and shot a 93.

Bucknell returns to action on Friday, Sept. 21, when it travels to the Yale Invitational.
