COLLEGE WOMEN'S GOLF: Bucknell finishes in 9th at the Dartmouth Invititational

Hanover N.H. --- The Bucknell women's golf team competed this weekend at the Dartmouth Invitational on the golf course at Hanover Country Club. The Hanover Country Club is a par 73, 5876 yard course that requires precision shots and not distance.

The Orange and Blue finished the tourney in ninth place out of 17 teams. The team shot a 36-hole total of 685 (335-350). Leading the way on the individual front was freshman Molly Campbell (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) with a two-day total of 167 (83-84). Campbell was low medallist for the Bison and finished the invitational in a tie for 28th place.

Unfortunately for the Orange and Blue this year's results were not quite as good as in '99. Last fall at the Dartmouth Invitational the team finished in 6th place out of 18 teams and a 36-hole total of 682 (340-342).

The women's golf team will be hitting the links later this week to host a dual match with St. Francis (Pa.) and Mount St. Mary's on Thursday, September 21. The match will be played on the Bucknell Golf Club.
