Bucknell Women's Golf in 12th Place After First Round at Nittany Lion Invitational
Oct. 2, 2004 LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's golf team is currently in 12th place after a rainy first round of play in State College, Pa. at the Nittany Lion Invitational on Saturday. Amy Loughney recorded the best round for the Bison with a total score of 77, five over par. After the second round was delayed due to lightning, the teams took to the course after the delay only to be stopped again due to darkness. Day two of competition will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. Other Bison in action on Saturday were Kathryn Batchelor, scoring 81, Jamie Hays, with a score of 83, Teri Schlang, with an 84, Emily Chiodo, scoring 87, and Kristen Phalen with a score of 90.
The Bison are currently in 12th place with a total score of 325, 37 over par. Penn State leads on their home course with a total score of 289, just one stroke over par.
