NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Celine Herbin struggled to maintain her record-setting pace and the Bison women's golf team shot a season-high 353 to drop one spot to ninth place at the end of the Yale Invitational, which wrapped up Sunday.

After shattering the school record with a three-over-par 73 in Saturday's opening round, Herbin finished with a 92, her first round over 79 this fall. After sharing the clubhouse lead entering play Sunday, the Bison newcomer slipped to 29th place.

Jaime Hays shot 80-84 and ended up as the low Bison, in a four-way tie for 25th place at 164. Hays set the previous school 18-hole record with a 74 in this event a year ago.

Also competing for Bucknell were Stephanie Calhoun (88-88), Teri Schlang (87-91) and Meredith Kalman (89-90).

Princeton shot 304 on Sunday to take the team title by five shots over host Yale. First round leader Rollins slipped to third place with a final-round 317, finishing 10 strokes behind the Tigers.

Yale did claim the individual medallist, as Cindy Shin shot 76-72 for a two-stroke cushion over runner-up Meg Nakamura of Princeton.

The Bison return to action next weekend at the Penn State Invitational.
