GREENVILLE, N.C. - Junior Molly Campbell shot a 158 over the opening 36 holes, and the Bucknell University women's golf team placed 10th out of 18 teams this afternoon at day one of the Lady Pirate Fall Intercollegiate, hosted by East Carolina University on the par-71, 5,850-yard Greenville Country Club.

Bucknell posted a team score of 659, accumulating 330 strokes for the opening 18 holes and 329 for the final 18. East Carolina leads the field with a 609-stroke mark.

Campbell fired an 80 for the first 18 holes, then came back with an equally-impressive 78 on the second 18. She is currently tied for 20th place in the 93-competitor field.

Junior Jess Hetrich finished just three strokes behind Campbell for the day, recording a 161 (81, 80) to tie for 29th. Other Bison who figured into the team scoring on day one were freshman Jaime Hays, who is tied for 49th with a 166-stroke mark, and senior Hilary Mainka, who shot a 174 to tie for 69th. Also competing for Bucknell was junior Catherine Crews, who recorded a 190.

The Bison will complete the final 18 holes of the tournament back in Greenville tomorrow.
