PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Bucknell's women's golf team opened with a season-low 329 Friday at the Rutgers Invitational, and the Bison stand in sixth place among 16 teams at the mid-point of the 36-hole tournament.

After struggling on the front nine, Bucknell's Celine Herbin came home in 36 en route to a team-low 80. Teri Schlang shot a career-best 81 and Jaime Hays matched that score as the Bison sit just three strokes behind fifth-place Georgetown.

Also for Bucknell on Friday, Stephanie Calhoun shot 87 and Jessica Clark 88.

Led by a 69 from first-round leader Alison Walshe, Boston College took a commanding team lead with a 297. St. John's is second at 310, followed by Rutgers (323), Harvard (323) and Georgetown (326).

The tournament wraps up Saturday morning at the Rutgers G.C.
