LEWISBURG, Pa. - Sporting a terrific 3.36 combined grade-point average during the spring 2005 semester, the Bucknell women's lacrosse team has earned a prestigious academic award from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.

Bucknell's team GPA was ranked third nationally, behind only Stanford (3.575) and Duke (3.416). The top three teams are designated as "Merit Squads" by the IWLCA, while all other institutions with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher are designated as "Academic Squads."

In addition, the IWLCA recognizes juniors and seniors who achieved a 3.2 GPA or better during the spring semester with National Honor Roll accolades. Bucknell junior defender Rachel Prowler, a First Team All-Patriot League selection in both 2004 and 2005, represented the Bison squad on the National Honor Roll.
