Position:
Head Coach

Experience:
Eighth Season

Chrissy Findlay enters her eighth season as head coach of the Bison women's soccer team, bringing a Patriot League Championship and two Coach of the Year accolades to the fold.

Findlay, the second coach in the history of the Bucknell program, is only the third coach in conference history to earn back-to-back Patriot League Coach of the Year honors (2000 and 2001).

With Findlay at the helm, the Bison have put together a 55-63-7 record over the past seven years. Findlay has led the Bison to the Patriot League tournament in three out of seven seasons, missing by just one point in 2003.

Findlay arrived in Lewisburg after serving as head coach at St. Francis College in western Pennsylvania. While there, she led the Red Flash to their first-ever appearance in the Northeast Conference championship.

Findlay is involved with youth soccer organizations, serving as an instructor at numerous camps and clinics, including camps for the WUSA Philadelphia Charge. In 2002, she assisted in the Umbro Senior College All-Star Game in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., an event that coincides with the WUSA combine and draft. In addition, Findlay serves as director of the Bison Girls Soccer Camps for youth players and teams, and is an advisor to the local leagues and soccer clubs. She also runs soccer clinics for the Lewisburg Children's Center.

A member of the Women's Soccer Foundation and the Women's Sports Foundation, along with the Pennsylvania Special Olympics Management Team, Findlay is currently licensed by the United States Soccer Foundation (U.S.S.F.) and holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (N.S.C.A.A.) National Diploma.

Findlay, a native of Lansdowne, Pa., also reorganized the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.) and helped create the Bucknell Athletes Against Drugs and Alcohol program (B.A.A.D.). Both are very active with on and off-campus activities. She is also active in the local area, speaking to young girls on issues related to athletics, academics and adolescence. Additionally, Findlay led the team in a Habitat for Humanity fundraiser in 2004. The team also sent soccer equipment to soldiers in Iraq and to the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic, promoting a healthy lifestyle for young girls.

A two-time All-American and Academic All-American during her playing days at Division II Wheeling Jesuit College, Findlay graduated from the West Virginia school in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She was named as Wheeling Jesuit's 1993 NCAA Woman of the Year, was a two-year team captain and a two-time Most Valuable Player for the Great Lakes region. Following graduation, Findlay earned her master's degree in criminal justice and counseling from Marshall University (W. Va.). She was also inducted into the Wheeling Jesuit University Hall of Fame in January of 2001 and currently serves on the university's alumni board.

She and her husband, Jim, the men's and women's soccer coach at Susquehanna University, have a four-year old daughter, Caitlyn. They reside in Selinsgrove, Pa.
