Jan. 29, 2009
LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's soccer team placed a league-high 20 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced on Thursday. The Bison led the league for the fifth consecutive year. Their 20 honor roll members were two more than American and three more than Lafayette. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and be awarded a varsity letter. Highlighting the Bison list were three student-athletes who recorded perfect 4.0 GPAs in the fall semester: juniors Chelsea Brinkman and Lauren Stoller, and sophomore Rosemary Walker. The academic honors poured in for the Bucknell women's soccer team this fall. Brinkman, Stoller and Jennifer Dervarics earned spots on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II team, while Dervarics and senior Nicole Marotta recently earned Scholar All-East honors from the NSCAA. In addition, the Bucknell team earned an NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 13th straight year. The following are Bucknell's 2008 Patriot League Honor Roll members from the women's soccer team.
