LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell women's soccer was victorious over Patriot League opponent Holy Cross, 2-1, Saturday afternoon. The Bison improved their League record to 1-3.

During the afternoon of light rain, the Bison scored in the first three minutes of play. Sophomore Michelle Santonacita placed the ball in front of the goal so sophomore Meghann Chipko could grab the first goal 2:14 into the game.

The Bison returned to the field, after halftime, to quickly grab a second goal. Freshman Susanne Arata scored her first collegiate goal off of a pass from senior Tara Utchel in the 54th minute of the game.

The Crusaders captured one goal against the Bison with 7:21 left in the game.

Bucknell will face Patriot League rival, Lehigh, Wednesday, Oct. 23 in Bethlehem, Pa for a rescheduled game. The game is scheduled to have a 7:00 p.m. start. The Bison finish this weekend with a 6-6-1 overall record and 1-3 in the conference.
