LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell's women's soccer team fell, 1-0, while playing host to St. Francis (Pa.) in the second match of the season. The Bison faced the Red Flash's goal many times, but was unable to place one into the net.

St. Francis made the only goal of the afternoon with 18:27 into the first half. Senior goalkeeper Laurie Purse faced seven shots from the Red Flash, while saving three from entering the goal during her 90 minutes of play.

The Bison entered halftime with the score in favor of St. Francis, 1-0.

The Orange and Blue fought hard to place the ball in the net throughout the game. Bucknell tallied 23 shots on goal during the game, allowing the Red Flash to mark 10 saves.

During the second half of the game, senior Lauren Schwarz headed the ball towards the net to score when the Red Flash goalkeeper Allison Tidbull captured the save. The Bison, again, came close to scoring with only seconds left in the contest.

The Bison finish the game with a 1-1 overall record. Bucknell returns to action on Sunday when it travels to play Marist College at 2 p.m.
