Angie Stackhouse, who spent 2001-04 establishing herself as one of the best catchers in Bucknell history, returns to Lewisburg this year for her third year as a member of the Bison coaching staff.

A first-team All-Patriot League selection in 2004, Stackhouse put together the most successful season of her career. She batted a career-high .402, which was second in the Patriot League and 30th nationally. The Muncy, Pa., native also recorded career-best figures in hits (49), home runs (6), doubles (10) and runs batted in (35). The six home runs equaled the Bucknell record for single-season home runs, while her 35 runs batted in set a new school record.

In her career, Stackhouse started 151 games and saw action in 159. She smacked 10 home runs and hit .289 with 76 runs batted in during her four years. An accomplished catcher, Stackhouse posted a .964 fielding percentage as a senior as she served the role of team co-captain.

Stackhouse graduated from Bucknell in May of 2004 with a bachelor of science degree in business administration, with a religion minor. Following graduation Stackhouse spent the summer playing softball in the top league in Stockholm, Sweden with the Alby team. Stackhose helped lead Alby to a third-place finish in the country.

Along with her playing experience, Stackhouse gained coaching experience through mentoring a youth team and serving as pitching coach for the team in Sweden.

As an assistant with the Bison, Stackhouse works primarily with the catchers.
