LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell softball player Brandi Porter has been named the Patriot League's Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 7. Porter earns the award for the first time this season.

Porter is named pitcher of the week after two outstanding performances against Holy Cross last week. The junior hurler tossed a complete-game one-hitter in a 1-0 win over the Crusaders on Saturday, April 6. She fanned nine HC hitters, while walking one in her first career one-hitter.

In her second appearance against the Crusaders on Sunday, April 7, Porter was the hard-luck loser in BU's 1-0 loss. She scattered five hits, allowing one unearned run to cross the plate, in a complete game effort.

Porter has not allowed an earned run in 17 innings of work.

Bucknell is 7-19 on the year and 1-7 in Patriot League play. The Bison will travel to Villanova on Tuesday, April 9 for a 3:30 p.m. doubleheader with the Wildcats.
