LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell softball player Kris Devore (Washington, Pa./Trinity) has been named the Patriot League's Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 13. Devore earns the award for the first time this season.

Devore takes home Rookie of the Week honors after notching a hit in all four of Bucknell's games last week. The freshman outfielder's best outing was a 2-for-4 effort in a 6-2 loss at Colgate Saturday. On the week, Devore was 5-for-12 with two doubles and a home run. She also accounted for six of Bucknell's 10 runs last week, scoring three and driving in four.

On the season, the rookie is third on the team in batting, and stands in the top three in four other categories. She is currently in the midst of a seven-game hit streak, the longest for and Bucknell player this season.

Bucknell is 6-23 on the year and 3-6 in Patriot League play. The Bison host George Washington on Wednesday, April 16 for a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader with the Colonials.
