LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell softball team earned a sweep of Holy Cross in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 24, keeping its hopes of a Patriot League playoff berth alive. The Bison need to take three of four from the Crusaders in a four-game series, and due to the importance of Sunday's doubleheader with the visitors, have pushed the start time up to 10:30 a.m. to be sure to beat the rain predicted for the area later in the day.

Bucknell was originally scheduled to play Holy Cross at noon on Sunday, but will now begin with a ceremony honoring its three seniors at 10:15 a.m., followed by the opening pitch at 10:30.

The games against the Crusaders will still be broadcast live on the internet (www.BucknellBison.com) and in Lewisburg on the Bison Sports Network, WMLP-1380AM. Doug Birdsong, the Voice of the Bison, will broadcast the contest, and is joined by former Bucknell softball coach Terrie Grieb.

Bucknell is currently 11-23 overall and 6-12 in Patriot League play, one game ahead of 5-13 Holy Cross. The Crusaders are 10-26 overall.
