LEWISBURG, Pa. - With steady rain in Wednesday afternoon's forecast, Bucknell's home softball doubleheader against Delaware has been cancelled. No makeup date has been announced for the pair of games that were slated to close out the home portion of the Bison schedule at 3 p.m. Wednesday at West Fields.

Bucknell (11-29) is coming off a doubleheader split at Penn State Tuesday evening when it came back from a 7-0 deficit in game two and posted an 8-7 victory, its first over the Nittany Lions since 1998. In fact, the Bison had scored just one run in their previous 43 innings against Penn State prior to the late-inning offensive outburst that was keyed by three doubles and four runs batted in from Mary Pavlovich (Johnstown, Pa./Richland).

Delaware (14-21-2) was swept in a three-game series at Hofstra this past weekend and is 0-5-1 in its last six games. The Blue Hens will be in action this weekend at home against George Mason.

Bucknell will return to Patriot League play this weekend when it travels to Worcester, Mass., for a four-game series with Holy Cross. The Bison, who are 4-8 in league play, won three of four games at Army last weekend.
