LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell freshmen softball players Kris Devore (Washington, Pa./Trinity) and Lauren Wible (Dover, Pa./Dover) have been named to the All-Patriot League Second-Team for their play on the diamond this season. The teams were announced by the conference office on Wednesday, May 7.

Devore earns her spot on the second team after a solid freshman campaign. The left fielder played in all 44 of Bucknell's games, starting 43 of those. The rookie finished second on the team in batting with a .250 average, clubbing a team-best 31 hits. Her eight doubles on the year tied for first on the squad, and she is in the top-three in three other offensive categories. At one point in the season, Devore put together a 12-game hit streak, the longest of any Bison player this year. She had four games with two or more hits, including one game with three, and four games with two or more runs batted in.

Lauren Wible was selected to the All-League Second-Team.

On the defensive side of the ball, Devore posted a .922 fielding percentage from her position in the outfield.

Wible finished her first season with a team-leading .255 batting average in 40 games. The first baseman pounded out 25 hits while tying Devore and teammate Angela Stackhouse for the squad-lead in doubles with eight. Wible ended the season on a tear, hitting two of her team-best three home runs in her final two games. The lefty recorded five games with multiple hits, while also registering four games with more than one RBI. Wible exhibited patience at the plate, drawing a team-high 26 walks.

The lefty proved a solid defender as well, committing just six errors in 291 chances for a .979 fielding percentage.

Bucknell ended the year with a 11-33 overall record and a mark of 6-14 in Patriot League play.
