Schupsky, who graduated from TCNJ in 2001 with a bachelor of science in physics and secondary education, served a dual role as both an assistant coach for the Lions and as the aquatics graduate assistant since beginning work on a master's degree in education in 2005. He also spent time as the head YMCA summer swim coach at the Hunterdon County YMCA and was the boy's head swimming coach at North Hunterdon High School in Annandale, N.J.

"Dan brings a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to our program," said Bucknell head coach Dan Schinnerer. "He was an integral part of helping The College of New Jersey rise through the ranks of Division III swimming. His experience and motivation will help our program as we look to continue to reach new heights. His knowledge of coaching technique and swimmer development will be a great asset to the program."

As an undergraduate, Schupsky was a four-time NCAA qualifier at TCNJ and garnered 17 All-America honors as well as two Academic All-America selections while also setting six school records. The two-year captain of the Lions was the METRO Conference Rookie of the Year in 1997 and went on to collect three METRO Conference Swimmer of the Meet awards, while being named TCNJ's Most Valuable Swimmer all three years as well.
