WASHINGTON, D.C. - Freshman Tanya Sichko and sophomore Samantha Berthod were Bucknell's lone winners as the women's tennis team saw its three-match win streak come to a halt with a 4-2 loss at Patriot League foe American on Sunday, March 31.

Sichko improved her collegiate singles record to 15-3 with a 6-0, 7-5 win over Melissa Rausch at No. 5 singles. Berthod moved to 13-5 in singles action this season, defeating Annemarie Schoemaker 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6. The other four singles bouts went to American and the two teams opted not to play the doubles matches.

Bucknell drops to 8-5 overall and 0-2 in the Patriot League. The Bison are back in action on April 5 when they travel to UMBC for a 3:30 p.m. match against the Retrievers.
