Bison Women's Tennis Pulls Out 4-3 Win Over Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Nada Curcic won her 12th-consecutive singles match as the Bison women's tennis team notched a Patriot League win over Lehigh by a tight, 4-3 decision, Tuesday afternoon in Bethlehem, Pa. Curcic and doubles partner Veronica Brown also earned their 12th-straight, taking out Lehigh's number one doubles team. Brown and Curcic were the only Bucknell winners in doubles action, shutting out Lehigh's Starrine Foster and Alexis Jacobi, 8-0. In singles play, Curcic defeated Gwen Dwyer at one singles, 6-3, 6-4. The next Bison win would come at three singles as Brown upended Jacobi, 6-4, 6-3. Tanya Sichko added another Bison point on the fourth court, besting Foster, 6-0, 6-1. Bucknell got its fourth point from Chelsea Mills who crushed Francesca Murasko-Blank, 6-0, 6-1. The Bison improve to 11-2, 2-1 in PL play on the season. Next on the schedule is a trip to Hamilton, N.Y., to take on Colgate in Patriot League action. The match is set for April 8, starting at 2 p.m.
