Bucknell's Women's Tennis Beats Lafayette 7-0

LEWISBURG, Pa.-- The Bucknell's women's tennis team defeated Lafayette 7-0 Sunday, bringing its record to 13-6 this spring, with just only two matches remaining. At 13-6, this is the Bison's most-winning season since 2004-2005 when Bucknell went 17-5. The Bison have won six of their seven last contests and are 2-1 in league play. Sophomores Dara Dwojewski (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) and Lauren Lucido (Woodstock, Md./St. Paul's School For Girls), junior Tania Varela (Quito, Ecuador/Alliance Academy) and senior Ashley Globerman (New City, N.Y./Clarkstown High School) all picked up doubles and singles wins for the Bison. This was the Bison's sixth 7-0 win this season. Sophomore Lauren Rottkamp (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) picked up a decisive 6-0, 6-0 win in the six flight of singles over Nancy Parker to bring her team-best record to 14-1 this spring.
