Women's Tennis Team Drops Regular-Season Finale to Bloomsburg, 7-2

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's tennis team closed out its regular-season home schedule with a 7-2 loss to visiting Bloomsburg on Thursday, April 26. Bucknell finishes the regular season with an overall record of 4-11. Bloomsburg improves to 10-5 overall. Playing in her final regular-season home match, senior Beth Wurzburg (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) was BU's lone singles winner, posting a 6-4, 6-4 win at the sixth flight. In doubles action, sophomores Jill Wurzburg (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) and Laura Maisel (Princeton, N.J./Hun School) teamed up to notch Bucknell's only win, 8-4, at the third doubles spot. The Orange and Blue will host the Patriot League Championship Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, April 28-29.
