Women's Tennis Season Comes to a Close with 4-1 Loss to #5 Army

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's tennis season has come to a close with a 4-1 loss to fifth seeded Army in the first round of the Patriot League Tournament, being held at Bucknell on Saturday and Sunday, April 28-29. The Bison, seeded fourth, end the year at 4-12 overall.

Army claimed the doubles point with wins at the first two flights. Bucknell junior captain Kristin Inglis (Huntington, N.Y./Saint Anthony) picked up a singles win at the second flight, defeating the Black Knight's Cheryl Hamilton, 6-0, 6-1, for BU's point. Sophomore number one player Jill Wurzburg (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) was winning 6-5 over Army's Annie Weber when the match was decided.

Bucknell ends the season at 4-12 overall.
