  • LEWISBURG, Pa. - Led by senior co-captains Ashley Globerman and Paulina Gamboa, the Bucknell women's tennis team ranked second in the Patriot League with seven Academic Honor Roll selections, the league office announced Tuesday. A total of 35 Patriot League women's tennis student-athletes were recognized, with Holy Cross leading the way with eight.

    To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's six winter or 10 spring championship sports.

    Each of Bucknell's four All-Patriot League selections (Gamboa, Dumitrita Iepuras, Lauren Lucido, Tania Varela) showed up on the Academic Honor Roll.

    The following are Bucknell's 2009 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll members from the women's tennis team:
