AUSTIN, Texas - Day one of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the University of Texas at Austin was interrupted by pounding rain on Wednesday, causing meet organizers to move most events, including the preliminary pole vault competition featuring Bucknell freshman Melanie Buczko.

Buczko made one of her three attempts at the opening height of 12'9 ½", but missed. It was undecided as of Wednesday evening whether the vault competition would start over or pick up where it left off. In that case, Buczko would still have two tries to clear the opening height. The revised schedule, expected to be posted late Wednesday night, can be viewed by visiting www.ncaasports.com or clicking on the schedule link for the NCAA Championships on the Bucknell women's track and field schedule page.

Bucknell senior Maria Garcia's preliminary hammer throwing competition is expected to commence at the regularly scheduled time of 3 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, according to Bucknell head track and field coach Kevin Donner.
