COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Bucknell jumper Ann Doty finished 18th of the 21 competitors to start the triple jump on Sunday afternoon in the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships held on the campus of Texas A&M University. The rookie came up short of her collegiate-best 38'11" at the meet for elite under-20 athletes, jumping 36'9 ½".

Doty joined Christa Sawko as Bucknell's representation at the meet, the final competition of the 2003-04 school year. Sawko finished 17th in the 400-meter hurdle competition on Friday. Brittany Daniels, an unattached athlete, won the event with a leap of 44'11 ¾", while Erica McLain of the Texas Express track club claimed the second ticket to the IAAF World Junior Championships in Italy next month with a silver-medal leap of 43'7 ¾".
