LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell senior Megan Hathaway (Waterford, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) and sophomore Rebecca Frey (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty), two ECAC qualifiers, won Patriot League weekly honors this week. Hathaway was awarded the Patriot League Female Track Athlete of the Week and Frey the Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Week.

Performing at a high level, against solid competition, both Hathaway and Frey scored for the Bison at the Sykes-Sabock Cup Challenge last weekend at Penn State.

Hathaway got her ECAC qualifying mark with a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter race, timing in at 2 minutes, 12.13 seconds. The mark was good enough to shoot her into third place in Bucknell's all-time performance list. No stranger to success in the Patriot League, Hathaway won the Patriot League Championship in the 500 last indoor season. As a member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, Hathaway is a sociology major.

In the pole vault, Frey improved on her season best with a 12-1 ½ vault, for an eighth-place finish. Like Hathaway, she also took over third place on the Bucknell's all-time performance list. A civil engineering major, Frey is also a member of Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Both athletes will be back in competition when Bucknell hosts The Bucknell Winter Classic at Gerhard Fieldhouse on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
