Rebecca Misko Receives Senior Athletic Award at Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell senior Rebecca Misko (Morristown, N.J./Madison), a captain on the track and field team, received a special award at the University's annual Senior Athletic Awards Banquet, sponsored by the Bison Club and held in Terrace Room on Tuesday, May 1.
Misko won the Bryan-Humphreys Award, presented to senior athletes "who have exhibited exceptional versatility within his/her sport, displaying outstanding achievement and the selfless determination to help the team succeed by contributing in a number of ways." Misko shared the award with Andrew Powell of the men's soccer and track teams, who was the male selection.
Misko has distinguished herself as one of Bucknell's top all-around throwers. The Patriot League champion in the discus as a sophomore, she has scored at the league seven times while also competing in the shot put, hammer throw and javelin. She has qualified for the ECAC Championships three times in her career and been named All-Patriot League on four occasions.
During her career, Misko has been a member of five Patriot League Championship teams. With the thrower's contributions, the Bison have won two track and field titles indoors and three outdoors.
Bucknell is a highly-selective, privately endowed liberal arts institution with an enrollment of 3,583 undergraduate students. Bucknell competes in NCAA Division I as a member of the Patriot League and has full membership along with American, Army, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy. Bucknell has won the Presidents' Cup, signifying the Patriot League's all-sports champion, in 17 of 21 years, including 13 of the last 14.
Bucknell annually ranks among the national leaders in graduation rate and is fifth in Division I in the total number of CoSIDA Academic All-America selections, with 121 national Academic All-Americans since 1970.
