LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell senior Amy Mantush (Drums, Pa./Hazelton), a team captain on the track and field team, received a special award at the University's annual Senior Athletic Awards Banquet, sponsored by the Bison Club and held in Terrace Room on Tuesday, May 4.

Mantush won the Bryan-Humphreys Award, presented to senior athletes "who have exhibited exceptional versatility within his/her sport, displaying outstanding achievement and the selfless determination to help the team succeed by contributing in a variety of ways". Mantush shared the award with A.J. Kizekai of the football team, who was the male selection.

Throughout her career, Mantush has distinguished herself as one of Bucknell's top all-around athletes. The Drums, Pa., native has captured seven individual Patriot League titles in the high jump, triple jump, long jump and pentathlon. She has also earned All-Patriot League honors nine times.

Mantush has put her name in the Bucknell record books several times in the past four years. She holds school records in the indoor and outdoor high jump in addition to ranking in the program's top 10 in four other events.

Mantush's individual accomplishments have gone a long way to helping her team succeed as well. She has led Bucknell to six Patriot League championships, and last weekend she helped the Bison complete a rare Triple Crown, winning league titles in cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field.

Bucknell is a highly-selective, privately endowed liberal arts institution with an enrollment of 3,583 undergraduate students. Bucknell competes in NCAA Division I as a member of the Patriot League and has full membership along with American, Army, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy. Bucknell has won the Presidents' Cup, signifying the Patriot League's all-sports champion, in 15 of 19 years, including 11 of the last 12.

Bucknell annually ranks among the national leaders in graduation rate and is fifth in Division I in the total number of CoSIDA Academic All-America selections, with 118 national Academic All-Americans since 1970.
