COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: BUCKNELL 3, Marist 0

Baltimore, Md. --- The Bucknell women's volleyball team defeated Marist this evening 3-0 in the first game of the Bucknell Volleyball Subway Classic.

For the most part, the Orange and Blue dominated the match by winning all three games decisively 15-8, 15-5, and 15-2. Leading the Bison to victory was senior Nicole LaMothe (Meriden, Conn./Orville H. Platt) with four service aces and 11 defensive digs. Junior Whitney Williams (LaJolla, Calif./LaJolla) also had a strong serving game with four service aces to go along with her 20 set assists.

The volleyball team improves to 3-10 on the season and will continue with action tomorrow afternoon when it plays against Canisius at 1:00 p.m. and Villanova at 4:00 p.m. Marist drops to 0-9 on the year and will play again tomorrow against Canisius at 11:00 a.m. and at 2:30 p.m. versus Villanova.
