SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The Bucknell volleyball team fell to the University of San Francisco, 3-0, on the court in War Memorial Gym this Monday night. The Dons moved to 13-6 on the season after taking the games by the scores of 30-10, 30-20 and 30-16, while the Bison now sit at 12-8 overall on the year.

Bucknell junior Amanda Grossmann (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) hit .700 for the match with a team-high seven kills, while sophomore Jenna Henderson (Elk Grove, Calif./Laguna Creek) tallied six kills. Senior Chelsea Anderson headed up the Bison defense with seven digs and junior Kristen Sydlowski (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) chipped in with six digs. Freshman Shannon Pitsch (Oak Brook, Ill./Fenwick) posted 10 assists and senior Jessica Le (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) recorded eight helpers.

Kristin Hasselberg led San Francisco's offense with 18 kills and hit .483 in the match. KeLicia Shorts followed with seven kills and Brynn Maurer registered a match-high 11 digs. Darcy Carroll contributed 27 assists and Jamie Kartchner totaled 11 assists in the victory.

The Bison will play their next four matches at home in Davis Gym, beginning with a non-conference contest against Villanova on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m.
