LEWISBURG, Pa. - Jackie Leahy registered a double-double with 22 kills and 11 digs to lead Bucknell to a 3-2 come-from-behind win over Lafayette in a Patriot League match Saturday afternoon at Davis Gym. Three other Bison joined Leahy with at least 10 kills in the five-game match in which they avenged a 3-2 loss to the Leopards on their home floor earlier this year.

After the two teams split the first two games, Lafayette won the third game by a 30-15 margin to go up two games to one. However, Bucknell stormed back to force a fifth game with a 30-24 advantage in game four. The Leopards jumped out to an early 6-3 lead in the final game, but the Bison scored five unanswered points with Chelsea Robertson serving to take an 8-6 lead. The score remained close until the final point, which was scored when Becky Fisher and Jennie Smith assisted on a block to end the game at 15-13. Bucknell won the first game 30-27, while Lafayette was victorious in the second, 30-26.

Leahy's 22 kills, which vaulted her into fourth place on Bucknell's career list with 1,106, led the way for the Bison, but Jenna Henderson (13), Chelsea Robertson (10) and Amanda Grossman (10) each contributed at least 10 kills as Bucknell hit .211 as a team with a game-high percentage of .273 in the fourth frame.

Carolyn Dougherty joined Leahy as the only two Bison to record at least 10 digs with a team-high 20. She tied Lafayette's Michaela Donohue for match-high honors.

Setter Jessica Le recorded 49 assists to increase her season total to 794. She is just 27 assists away from breaking into the top five on Bucknell's single-season assist list. Allison Brady came off the bench and contributed 15 assists, many of those coming in the second game.

Lafayette was led by Veronica Canto-Ponce who had 26 kills and hit .309. The Leopards hit .254 as a team, including a robust .405 in the third game when they made just one error and had 16 kills in 37 chances.

With the victory Bucknell solidified its third-place position in the Patriot League standings. At 7-3, the Bison are three wins better than fourth-place Navy. The top four teams in the final standings qualify for the league's postseason tournament, to be held at American this year.

Bucknell will next travel to American to face the Eagles Friday, Nov. 5. The following night the Bison will battle Navy. Both matches next weekend are slated to start at 7 p.m.
