EASTON, Pa. - Brandi Trapasso tallied 11 kills and Jackie Leahy and Jennie Smith pocketed 11 each to lead Bucknell to its fifth straight victory, a 3-0 decision over Lafayette on Halloween evening at Kirby Sports Center.

The victory was the 200th in the Bucknell career of head coach Cindy Opalski. Bucknell's all-time winningest volleyball coach, Opalski is also closing in on 300 career coaching victories. She now has 292.

Now 13-9 overall and 9-1 in Patriot League play, the Bison topped the Leopards (5-20, 0-10) by game scores of 31-29, 30-15 and 30-24. Bucknell, which fell behind 22-11 in the opening game before rallying, swept the season series from Lafayette.

Trapasso finished with 10 digs to complete her double-double. Libero Chelsea Anderson led all players with 12 digs. Breean Trapasso tallied 32 assists, three aces and three kills.

Veronica Canto-Ponce led Lafayette with 14 of her team's 30 kills.

Bucknell hit .230 in the match, buoyed by a stellar .484 mark in the second-game rout. The Leopards hit .097 on the night.

The Bison remain in the area for a 7 p.m. match at Lehigh on Saturday evening.
