Bison Volleyball Ranked Nationally in Service Aces Per Game

LEWISBURG, Pa. - In the latest NCAA statistical volleyball report for games through Sept. 24, Bucknell University checked in at 20th among all Division I teams in the nation with 2.65 service aces per game.

The Bison recorded 98 service aces in 37 games through Sept. 24. Norfolk State leads the country with 6.5 aces per game.

Bucknell, which is now second in the Patriot League with 2.34 aces per game, is led by sophomore Brandi Trapasso and senior Whitney Williams in the SA department. Trapasso's 27 aces (0.59 per game) are tops among the Bison and fifth in the Patriot League, and Williams' 20 aces (0.43 per game) are second on the team and ninth in the league. Other Bison who have accumulated at least 10 aces this season include junior Jen Wrigley (17), senior Kerri Bishop (11) and freshman Jackie Leahy (10).

Bucknell will try to improve upon its 7-5 record (3-1 Patriot League) on Tuesday when it hosts Patriot League opponent Colgate University at 7 p.m.
