LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Wednesday's Bucknell-Colgate volleyball match will be broadcast live on the Bison Sports Network, with "Voice of the Bison" Doug Birdsong handling the play-by-play for the 7 p.m. match at Davis Gym.

The game will air on WMLP AM-1380 in Lewisburg, as well as on BucknellBison.com via SportsJuice.

Wednesday's match begins the second round of Patriot League play, with plenty of playoff jockeying still to be done. Bucknell, 10-8 overall, currently rests in a tie for third place in the Patriot League standings, joining Navy with a 4-3 conference record. The Bison defeated the Mids head-to-head on Oct. 8. American (6-0) and Army (5-1) lead the pack. Colgate (4-13) is tied for seventh place with a 1-6 Patriot League mark.

On Sept. 25, Bucknell began conference play with a four-game victory over Colgate in Hamilton, N.Y. The Bison used a balanced offensive attack in that match, with four players collecting at least 11 kills. Freshman Jenna Henderson led the way with 14, while Jackie Leahy added 12 and Amanda Grossmann and Courtney Clark 11 each.

Setter Jessica Le dished out 45 assists, while Carolyn Dougherty had a team-high 17 digs.

Sheila Giovannini led Colgate with 14 kills, while Laurel Oliver added 10. Natalie Rawson led all players with 18 digs.

Bucknell hit .225 for the match, while the Raiders hit .118, including .033 in the first game and .045 in the fourth and final game.

Wednesday's match is the first of four straight at home for the Bison, who conclude the 2004 regular season with six of their final eight matches in the friendly confines of Davis Gym.
