LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell senior Whitney Williams has received the Subway Athlete of the Month Award for the month of November in volleyball.

The award was announced at the monthly Bucknell Women's Sports Luncheon, held Monday, Nov. 5. Sponsored by Lewisburg Subway, the luncheon recognizes one outstanding student-athlete from each Bucknell women's sport in season at that time. The other winners for the month of November, as selected by their respective coaches, were senior Lauren Campbell in field hockey, senior Chris Crowe in cross country and sophomore Abbey Seaboyer in soccer.

Williams has averaged 8.66 assists and 0.44 service aces per game to help the Bison to an 11-10 record and a 7-6 Patriot League mark this season. She recorded over 40 assists in six different matches thus far, including a pair of Patriot League contests last week against Holy Cross and Army. In a 3-1 win at Holy Cross, Williams handed out 42 assists to go with five digs and three service aces. She added 45 assists, seven digs and two aces in the team's 3-2 loss at Army.

Williams currently ranks fifth in the Patriot League in assists and ninth in service aces. She has accumulated 2,677 career assists, second all-time at Bucknell.

The Bison will host Loyola College on Tuesday in the team's final home match of the season.
