LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell's volleyball setter, Breean Trapasso (Tonawanda, N.Y./ Tonawanda) was named to the 2002 Verizon Academic All-District II second-team on Thursday, Nov.14.

Trapasso completed the 2001-02 school year with a 3.97 cumulative grade point average. She has made Dean's List numerous times during her first two years at Bucknell. The junior co-captain is majoring in mathematics.

Trapasso received the President's Award for Academic Excellence and the Charles F. White Memorial Prize in 2002. She has received All-Tournament Honors at the Stony Brook Tournament and Bucknell Invitational during the 2002 campaign. Trapasso was named Patriot League Player of the Week for the week ending on Sept. 16.

Bucknell's volleyball team will complete regular season play at home on Saturday, Nov. 16 against Patriot League opponent Colgate. Start time for the match-up is set for 7:00 p.m. The Bison enter the weekend 14-12 overall and 8-5 in the League. The Patriot League playoff tournament begins on Friday, Nov. 22 at American in Washington, D.C. The match between the Raiders and the Bison will help determine if Bucknell clinches a berth in the tournament.
