Bison Water Polo Players Pick up 19-6 Win over Salem International

SALEM, W.Va. - Bucknell's women's water polo team defeated Salem International, 19-6, at the College Water Polo Association League games at Salem International on Saturday, March 3. The Orange and Blue got at least one goal from 11 different players, including Bison goalkeeper Lindsay Chesterfield (Kingston, Pa./Wyoming Valley West). Junior Brooke Rea (Canandaigua, N.Y./Los Altos), sophomore Elizabeth Wilmarth (Brookline, Mass./Brookline) and freshman Daniella Faas (Ludwigshafen, Germany/Worcester Academy (Mass.)) led the way offensively with three goals each. Freshman Kelly Hofstetter (Scotts Valley, Calif./Harbor) and junior Adrienne Schober (Houston, Texas/Clearlake) were solid on defense for BU, collecting four and three steals, respectively. Chesterfield finished the game with 11 saves in addition to her one goal. The score was the first of her career. Bucknell improves to 6-2 overall and 1-1 in league play and takes on George Washington at 7:00 p.m. in the final game of the day.
