Women's Water Polo Team Loses to George Washington, 12-10

SALEM, W.Va. - The Bucknell women's water polo team falls to 6-3 overall and 1-2 in the College Water Polo Association Mid-Atlantic Conference of the Southern Division, dropping a 12-10 decision to George Washington at Salem International on Saturday, March 3.

The Bison got a stellar performance from Katy Stahler (San Diego, Calif./Mt. Carmel) as the sophomore scored three goals, handed out three assists, and grabbed three steals in the losing effort. Senior co-captains Paige Cull (Bay City, Mich./John Glenn) and Julie McLaughlin (Woodside, Calif./Menlo) stepped it up on defense for BU, each recording five steals and three ejections drawn, but the Orange and Blue could not overcome the Colonials. It is the third time this season the two teams have met and GW holds a 2-1 advantage, winning the last two contests.

Bucknell will face Princeton in its final game of the weekend at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 4.
