WASHINGTON, D.C. - Junior Meg Blitzer scored a school-record seven goals and added two assists as the Bucknell women's water polo team defeated Villanova, 11-6, in Southern Division action at George Washington on March 6, 2004. Blitzer's nine points are the second-most in a single game at BU.

The Bison jumped out to a 4-1 lead after the first quarter and never looked back in building a 7-3 halftime advantage.

In addition to Blitzer's goals, freshman goalkeeper Mandy Bynum also got involved in the offense, scoring her first career goal and handing out two assists to go along with 10 saves. Junior Cody Keffer scored once and handed out three helpers, while freshmen Taylor Voeltz and Elizabeth Jensen both scored once.

Bucknell is 5-3 overall and 1-1 in league play. The Orange and Blue face George Washington at 5:00 p.m. for their second game of the day.
