RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The Bucknell women's water polo team held 20th-ranked Cal Baptist without a goal in the second and third quarters, but it was not enough as the Bison lost by a slim 4-3 margin Wednesday. It was the sixth consecutive loss for Bucknell, all against ranked opponents, which fell to 11-7 overall.

The Bison trailed just 2-1 after the first quarter, and after a scoreless second period, evened the score at 2-2 in the third. However, Cal Baptist outscored Bucknell 2-1 in the fourth for the victory.

Cody Keffer led on the offensive end with two goals, while Meg Blitzer added one. Jessica Trimis, Katie Hartigan and Meagan Gins each tallied an assist.

Mandy Bynum had a solid showing in goal, stopping 12 shots and allowing just the four goals. She now stands second in Bucknell history with 400 career saves, 10 ahead of third-place Kristen D'Agostino, who she passed Wednesday.

The Bison will compete in the Claremont Convergence this weekend, March 19 and 20. Saturday they will face Redlands and Cal State San Bernadino. Sunday's opponents will be Whittier and Pomona Pitzer.
