Women's Water Polo Team Drops Close One to Santa Clara

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Playing in its first game at the Claremont College Invitational, the Bucknell women's water polo team suffered a 10-9 loss to Santa Clara on Saturday, March 17.

Junior Brooke Rea (Canandaigua, N.Y./Los Altos) scored three goals and grabbed two steals, while senior co-captain Julie McLaughlin (Woodside, Calif./Menlo) tallied two goals and stole the ball three times in the losing effort.

The Bison fall to 10-7 overall and will face the University of Texas later in the day.
