Women's Water Polo Team Grabs 11-6 Win Over University of Texas

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Bucknell women's water polo team took on the University of Texas at the Claremont College Invitational, defeating the team, 11-6, on Saturday, March 17.

Senior co-captain Julie McLaughlin (Woodside, Calif./Menlo) had a solid performance offensively, scoring four goals and handing out one assist. Junior Brooke Rea (Canandaigua, N.Y./Los Altos) turned in an impressive all-around game, scoring three goals, assisting on one, grabbing five steals and registering one ejection drawn. Sophomore goalkeeper Lindsay Chesterfield (Kingston, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) was solid in the goal for BU, recorded 12 saves and handing out one assist.

Bucknell improves to 11-7 overall and will face San Bernardino on Sunday, March 18.
