PRINCETON, N.J. - The Bucknell women's water polo team was within 8-7 after three quarters of play against the 17th ranked Princeton Tigers, but the Bison dropped a 11-8 decision in Southern Division League action on Saturday, March 27.

The two team's were tied 2-2 after one quarter of play before Princeton took a 6-4 lead into the intermission. BU came back to outscore the Tigers 3-2 in the third quarter to trail by just one entering the final frame, but Princeton outscored the Bison 3-1 in the quarter for the 11-8 victory.

Senior Kelly Hofstetter and junior Meg Blitzer each scored two goals in the game for Bucknell, while Blitzer and junior Katie Hartigan led the squad with two assists.

Freshman keeper Mandy Bynum made six saves for BU, which falls to 10-12 on the year and 3-3 in conference play. The Orange and Blue face George Washington at 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, March 28.
