PROVIDENCE, R.I. - In a rematch of an exciting overtime victory for the Bison earlier in the year, the Bucknell women's water polo squad came out on top of Harvard again, this time winning 4-2 at the ECAC Championship at Brown on Sunday, April 4. With the victory, BU claimed seventh at the event.

It was a close game again with both offenses struggling and the score knotted at 2-2 heading into the final quarter. The Orange and Blue held the Crimson scoreless in the third and fourth quarters, while netting two of their own in the fourth to take the game.

Sophomore Christina Behrens led the way offensively with one goal and one assist. Also scoring were juniors Meg Blitzer and Katie Hartigan, and freshman Taylor Voeltz. Junior Ashley Aiken and rookie Mandy Bynum each had an assist in the game as well.

Bynum was solid in the net for Bucknell, stopping eight shots while just allowing the two goals. She also recorded one steal in a fine defensive performance.

BU is 12-15 overall. The Bison have the upcoming weekend off from varsity competition, but will be hosting the USA National Team for an exhibition game on Friday, April 9, at 8 p.m.
