GROVE CITY, Pa. - The Bucknell women's water polo team got 11 different players involved in the scoring on the way to a 16-5 victory over Penn State Behrend in the opening game of the Grove City Invitational on Friday, April 12.

Senior Brooke Rea, sophomore Kelly Hofstetter and freshman Meg Blitzer all scored three goals each in the contest, while Blitzer added one assist for four points in the game. Sophomore Kate Webber and freshman Cody Keffer joined Blitzer with four points, both contributing with two goals and two assists. Freshman Eileen Ketterer led the way in the helper category, handing out a team-best three assists.

In addition to recording their highest offensive output of the season, the Orange and Blue also turned things up on defense, recording 25 steals in the event. Freshman Ashley Aiken and senior Meredith Stevens headed up the defensive stand, posting seven and five steals, respectively.

Junior Lindsay Chesterfield had little work to do in net, stopping only three shots.

The Bison improve to 11-14 overall and are back in action again when they face Washington & Jefferson at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 13.
